Environmental Policy

Planet Warriors Kids Club is committed to instilling eco-conscious values, incorporating sustainable practices, and teaching children the importance of caring for our planet.

We are committed to the protection of the planet through reducing pollution, emissions and waste. As part of the induction process, and through staff meetings and training, our staff will be leading on our mission to reduce the use of raw materials, supplies and energy and consider the planet in all our actions.

It is everyone’s responsibility within the club to work together to limit our impact and we will be involving the children to be an integral part of instilling values and practices to make positive choices at the club and for themselves and their families. We will be raising children’s awareness of environmental issues through discussions, projects and day-to-day activities within the club and everyone will be encouraged to follow the Club’s processes.

• We will re-use and recycle our waste material, and the recycling bins are easily accessible to staff and children.

• Lights will be switched off when not in use and lights will be fitted with energy saving bulbs where possible.

• Electrical equipment will be turned off at the power source when not in use. 

• Taps will be turned off after use and will not waste water.

• We will travel to and from school via a walking bus or the use of our electric minibus. If needing further transport for trips etc we would aim to use public transport or electric vehicles where possible 

• Decisions about resources, activities etc  will be made with the environment in mind and making choices that have minimal impact on the planet.
